Kannur is between Kozhikde and Mangalore on the way from Kochi to Goa. The train journey from Mumbai to Kannur is very pleasant as the same passes through the coastal Konkan region.

Kannur is a major stop for trains and buses between Kochi and Goa. From or to Kozhikode : two to three hours by road or by train. Airport is another 20 Km. Mangalore 150 KM. Frequent buses or trains are available. Approximate running time is three hours.

• Bangalore 340km by road or train; approximately 9 hours running time. There are plenty of excellent sleeper buses , so you can sleep your way to Kannur; by train its overnight journey
• Chennai( Madras )by overnight train journey or by air to Calicut and onwards by road or rail.
• Mumbai (Bombay) 900 km. By overnight train journey.

• Kochi/Cochin 330 Km six hours by train or road.
